Airbrush Makeup

Airbrush makeup is specially formulated to spray evenly with an appliance that looks like a pen. Makeup is applied in seconds, evenly and completely. Tiny molecules of either water-based, alcohol, polymer, or silicone based foundation is sprayed through a medium to fine airbrush nozzle onto the skin. This technique has long been a favourite for red carpet celebrities and models. Source:http://ezinearticles.com/?What-is-in-Airbrush-Makeup?&id=3016789

Basic airbrush makeup etiquetteWhen applying airbrush makeup the applier should never paint in open eyes, nose, or ear canals. Use cotton balls or cotton swabs. Breathe with the clients if they asked to hold their breath. You might ask the client to breathe out slowly when spraying nose and mouth areas. It is also polite to start the air away from the face, and then move onto the face area for application. Source: Wikipedia

  1. Airbrush makeup is applied in a different way than traditional makeup. Airbrush heads are used to spray tiny spots of liquid pigment onto the skin. This is mostly because you must purchase a separate instrument as well as a cartridge to use with it. Makeup artists must also learn how to operate this equipment, as there is a science to determining how much to spray. It is more hygienic to use airbrush makeup. Airbrush makeup is applied without the use of fingers, brushes, or sponges. This lowers the risk of contamination.
